From December’s climate conference in Copenhagen, to an April LOHAS Partnership event in New York City and a May biotechnology convention in Chicago, NatureWorks continues to support responsible product innovation
On April 5, 2010, we proudly announced the launch of our 6th annual Ingeo Earth Month campaign. Building on the showcase of low-carbon Ingeo innovations at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen, we have designed the 2010 campaign to continue demonstrating how more responsible product choices now available to the consumer. Since Ingeo innovations are made from plants, not oil, these products represent lower greenhouse gases and lower non-renewable energy impacts. Food packaging, bottles, food serviceware, electronics, clothing, and more are on store shelves today offering consumers an earth-friendly choice. Read the announcement press release >

May 3: Relationship with Sustainable Development International
In May we will be commencing a relationship with Sustainable Development International (SDI). SDI is a multimedia organization working in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program to produce the “Climate Action” campaign on issues relating to carbon mitigation and sustainable development. NatureWorks and SDI will start working together to put forward the business case for improving the sustainability of organizations: namely, that environmentally responsible operations can have a beneficial effect on the bottom line. Michael Gray, Climate Action campaign account director, noted, "Our relationship with NatureWorks aligns the portfolio of products that NatureWorks and its Ingeo partners are bringing to market with Climate Action’s objective of reaching thousands of large and small businesses globally — businesses that share a common goal of profitably reducing their carbon footprint."
