NatureWorks LLC Springs into a New Look! For years now, many of you have been telling us how much you enjoy receiving the NatureWorks LLC In the Works and Ingeo Bulletin e-newsletters. These have been a great ways for NatureWorks LLC to share news on our partners' latest and most innovative Ingeo products made from our biopolymers. They also included industry news in the areas of packaging, fibers and durable goods markets, as well as information on legislature, stakeholders and environmental stewardship. To make this whole process simpler and to serve you better, we have combined the best of both to bring you the first ever "Ingeo News" - your resource for commercial and technical news on Ingeo innovations around the globe. Enjoy! And let us know what you think of our new format.

Ingeo Innovations Come to Life!
Natural Selection. It's simple. If we can make the products we need have less impact on the environment - make them work and make them desirable as well, then everyone benefits. That is what we at NatureWorks LLC have done. Our NatureWorks® biopolymers are made from plants instead of oil and we call these Ingeo natural plastics, which our partners use to create an entirely new generation of lifestyle products, or Ingeo innovations. Ingeo: it's a simple and ingenious idea, designed to make better products. Better for the planet, so better for you and business too.

Navigating the End of Life Roadmap
The end-of-life vision for Ingeo™ natural plastic products biopolymer in the long term is to maintain a journey to zero waste, keeping the polymer, regardless of form, out of the landfill and being able to recycle into the same use or higher valued use if possible. The ideal solution is chemical hydrolysis back into lactic acid for processing into essentially new Polylactide resin.
We understand that products and packaging made from our resin will be landfilled or incinerated at the end of their useful life in the near term, but through industry partners, future innovation, technology and education we are looking to build a bridge to a better end of life. To gain a better understanding of exactly where packaging waste goes, we’ve developed an interactive End of Life Roadmap. For more information on the end-of-life vision of NatureWorks LLC, please refer to the end-of-life section of our website.
