MILAN, ITALY - September 27, 2007 – NatureWorks LLC announces participation in Creativity, Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy (C.L.A.S.S.).
A new global platform for more responsible innovation in raw materials, set within the context of the international fashion world of Milan at WHITE. A contemporary women wear trade show, White presents the newest and most relevant brands with a common vision of the relevance of research and innovation.
NatureWorks LLC shares the vision of the C.L.A.S.S. founders and partners that it’s time to create a critical mass and commercial presence of materials that are innovative, relevant and responsible, and to make the process of resourcing them easy for buyers and retailers. Here at White, C.L.A.S.S. is set outside the conventional textile trade fair circuit. Instead the venue allows a new and more direct contact with the real decision makers, building on the success of the Ingeo™ NatureWorks® Earth Month program in April through June 2007, which was similarly designed to short circuit the route to market through its unconventional timing and activities.
C.L.A.S.S. is important for NatureWorks LLC, allowing the company to display, for the first time in one setting, the unique, broad portfolio of Ingeo™ product innovations based on NatureWorks® biopolymer and commercially developed by its global partners.
These innovations represent a, more sustainable, contemporary lifestyle opportunity. Commercial products range from apparel, homeware and personal care products such as wipes and diapers, to the new generation of revolutionary biopackaging solutions for fresh foods, to food service ware, and even consumer electronics, all of which give consumers the choice to make a difference whenever they buy Ingeo branded goods.
Ingeo™ products are made from plants instead of oil and designed to offer a better choice to consumers because they come from a resource that is renewed each year, unlike other manufactured products which rely on finite fossil fuel resources. Its production uses less fuel and emits fewer green-house gases than conventional polymer production, thus helping both business partners and final consumers alike to reduce their carbon footprint.
Ingeo™ products will also be visible at White in the shape of its new range of disposable food service ware supplied for all refreshment and catering points throughout the fair thanks to Ecozema, Guillin and ILIP.
