A Big Idea

Ingeo Dyson Sphere comes to NatureWorks Headquarters

The famed Ingeo Dyson Sphere sculpture, printed with unreinforced Ingeo 3D700, has come home to the NatureWorks Plymouth HQ in Minnesota. Printed 2 years ago by Branch Technology, with their signature BranchMatrix™ lattice structure, this extraordinary sculpture was made to showcase Ingeo 3D700's properties of low warpage, high modulus, tensile strength, and improved interlayer adhesion in additive manufacturing. Each node in the sculpture was able to withstand over 45 pounds of force, significantly greater than the approximately 30 pounds of force per node if the sculpture were printed with carbon fiber reinforced ABS.
