NatureWorks Announces Next Construction Phase for Thailand Facility


NatureWorks has made significant progress on the construction of the new fully integrated Ingeo™️ PLA biopolymer manufacturing facility in Nakhon Sawan Province, Thailand. The facility will have an annual capacity of 75,000 tons of Ingeo biopolymer and produce the full portfolio of Ingeo grades.

NatureWorks stated the new facility reflects their commitment to expanding customer access to fully biobased, low-carbon biomaterials with unique performance attributes valued by global downstream packaging and fiber markets.

PFNonwovens recently found success in developing sustainable spunmelt nonwovens leveraging the latest Reicofil 5 technology and breakthrough materials for softness and made entirely from Ingeo polylactic acid (PLA) resins.

Compostable by Design is a cross value chain platform for collaboration and innovation in compostable materials, technologies and processes, aiming to ensure compostable materials are accepted for organic recycling at scale in Europe.

Flo presents their Ingeo-based GEA Calix PLUS compostable coffee capsule

Flo R&D Director, Tazio Zerbini, presented GEA Calix Plus, an evolution of the Gea Calix compostable capsule launched two years ago. EPA’s Updated Wasted Food Scale
