NatureWorks Welcomes New Chief Growth Officer and Chief Financial Officer as Company Enters New Growth Phase
October 2, 2024, NatureWorks announced the appointment of Roger Tambay as the company’s Chief Growth Officer and Roger Kempa as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. The new executive officers are joining NatureWorks as the company enacts the first phase of its global expansion plans with the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Thailand. Both leaders underscore NatureWorks’ ambitions for growth and innovation as the global market for biobased materials accelerates alongside fast-evolving legislation and regulation around plastics and material circularity. EPA recommends BPI, GreenScreen, and other ecolabels in food serviceware procurement
In a newly published resource, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ranked the best choices when selecting sustainable food serviceware including those that are certified compostable. The agency is now proposing labels for food serviceware categories including GreenScreen certifications, Cradle to Cradle certifications, and BPI Commercial Compostability Certification Scheme. Composting Microgrants Program
BPI is launching its Composting Microgrants program to support food scrap programs using compostable products. With grants from $500 to $5,000, they’re funding projects that promote best practices, increase food waste collection, and improve composting operations.
Eligible applicants include businesses, non-profits, and government agencies. Read more
